Welcome to the GRTS Student E-Portfolio website. The student e-portfolio is an electronic copy of student assessments and student coursework samples. The student learning e-portfolio is intended to serve two main purposes. First, the student learning e-portfolio documents student progress in the development of essential knowledge, competencies, and values, and provides a foundation to foster continued growth. Second, the student learning e-portfolio serves as an objective means for faculty assess collective student growth and to evaluate overall program effectiveness. Participation in all required assessments and submission of all portfolio documents is a responsibility of the student and a requirement for graduation.
Student Assessments:
Entrance Assessment
A brief introductory meeting with the faculty advisor which allows an assessment about the alignment of the selected degree program with the student’s aspirations, capabilities and vocational goals.
MIN500 Christian Spiritual Transformation
A battery of assessments (Myers-Briggs, DiSC, ECI, and MCMI-III) is incorporated into this course. The results of these assessments serve as the basis for the development of a personal growth plan as assigned within the course.
Mid-Point Assessment
A formal analysis of the student’s academic and non-academic development, and an evaluation concerning progress in ministry readiness. This process involces the academic advisor, academic dean, dean of student services, ministry mentor, and executive director of the contextual learning center.
Ministry Residency
Ministry mentors assess students each semester in regards to the student’s contributions, needs and developmental progress as they function within an authentic ministry setting.
MIN711 Program Completion Seminar
A reflective essay is embedded as a requirement within this course, allowing the student to consider the extent and direction of growth and development while enrolled at GRTS.
Exit Assessment
This is an opportunity for students nearing graduation to provide substantive feedback about tehir GRTS experience. The exit assessment is coordinated by the academic dean and dea of student services and takes the form of personal interviews and/or opinion surveys.
