Carl B. Hoch Jr:
Carl Brinton Hoch, Jr., Th.D., joined the faculty of Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 1974 and served as professor of New Testament Studies until his death on March 29, 1999, at age 63. He brought to his classroom a love for the Lord and a commitment to the careful and thorough study of Scripture, inspiring many to follow his example. Dr. Hoch was considered a bibliophile, ready to recommend the best and most recent books on biblical studies. He founded and managed the seminary bookroom for many years. The name of the bookroom honors this beloved scholar for his 25 years of exemplary service to GRTS and its students.
